The Right Rev. Carlye J. Hughes, Bishop of the Diocese of Newark has
scheduled a Pastoral visit with us on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
In addition to her visit, we would like to begin celebrating the ten-year
anniversary of the creation of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in
Towaco, NJ. So please save the date and join me in
welcoming Bishop Hughes to Good Shepherd.
St. John’s Booton Luncheon - our turn is on Saturday September 30th. So far Good Shepherd has purchased the food, made, cooked and served 45 people since we started tp participate in this ministry with St. John's.
The Blessing of the Animals
(St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day 10/4) - Watch for Lincoln Park Days coming this autumn. Last year approximately 200 people and their pets received a blessing
either at the event or at Good Shepherd Church that Sunday morning. Deacon Gail Kertland was the
lead on this great event. Of course she has a dog
Phoebe, named after the first recorded female deacon.

Our Organist and Choir Director, Shana Grassi plays the organ and piano during the services. She also sings a hymn during the Offertory.
Her preludes and postludes are always a quiet
time for prayer and reflection.

Barbie Schulien playing a flute solo at one of our Sunday services.
From time to time Barbie also accompanies our Organist,
Shana Grassi. They make beautiful music together.
