Good Shepherd Episcopal Church is guided by an elected Vestry that serves as the parish’s governing body. Meeting monthly, the Vestry brings together parishioners with diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives to support the mission and ministry of the church. Members are elected each year at the Annual Meeting, with one individual selected to serve as Warden—responsible for chairing Vestry meetings and coordinating its collaborative work. In addition, the Treasurer and Clerk serve as appointed members, providing essential leadership in financial oversight and recordkeeping. Together, the Vestry works faithfully to steward the life, resources, and vision of our parish. |

Our church is an Episcopal Church, and its members are called Episcopalians.
The word Episcopal comes from the New Testament Greek word episkopos, meaning “overseer,” a term that is commonly translated as “bishop.” In the Episcopal tradition, bishops serve as overseers of the Church’s spiritual life and leadership.
Episcopal bishops stand in the historic succession of the Apostles, continuing a line of ordained ministry that traces back to the earliest Christian communities and the original “historic bishops” of the Church.
